Terms of service.
The agreement covering your use of xail.me. Plain language, short sections, no surprises.
Last updated: 14 October 2026.
1. Your account
Your xail.me account is created and managed on my.netquirk.com. The same account signs you in to xail.me. The sign-in and billing surface on that site is operated by Netquirk; these terms cover the xail.me service itself.
You are responsible for the password on the account and for any activity under it. Two-factor authentication is available from the /settings page and is recommended.
2. The service we provide
xail.me is a normal email service: send and receive mail through a web client, with folders, search, contacts, attachments, signatures, and per-recipient junk and blocklists. The stored copy on the server is encrypted at rest; the decryption happens in your browser when you open a message. The shape of the read boundary is described on the security model page.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use xail.me to:
- Send unsolicited bulk mail or other forms of spam.
- Send mail that is unlawful in the jurisdiction you are in or in the jurisdiction of the recipient.
- Send mail intended to deceive the recipient about who it is from (phishing).
- Use the account to attack, scan, or otherwise probe the service or the other clients.
- Resell the service to a third party without a written agreement.
4. Service availability
xail.me is provided on a best-efforts basis. The service aims for high availability but does not guarantee that any particular message will be delivered at any particular time. Maintenance, incidents, and upstream network conditions can affect availability.
5. Plans and billing
xail.me has two plans: Free and Paid. The plans, their prices, and the signup and billing flows live on my.netquirk.com. Plan changes and cancellations are made there. Both plans use the same at-rest encryption and the same web client; the difference between them is the attachment-storage allowance.
6. Changes to the service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of xail.me with reasonable notice. Material changes that affect the read boundary or the encryption shape are reflected on the security model page and the privacy page.
7. Your data
The data xail.me holds about you is described on the privacy page. Closing the account from the /settings page deletes the account and the stored mail.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the /settings page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches the acceptable-use rules above; we will tell you before we do unless the breach is causing harm to the service or to another user.
9. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, xail.me is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operator of xail.me is incorporated. Disputes are resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms go to the support address published on my.netquirk.com.
